Trying to setup MSN/Live Gateway

I’m new to Openfire & Spark. I have setup Openfire 3.7 on Windows 2003 as a test. I installed the Kraken IM Gateway plugin because it was the only IM gateway plugin that I could find. From there I enable the MSN Messenger gateway and I’m limiting it to a specific group of users via LDAP.

Now how do I go about allowing access to the MSN network with my Openfire server? I can’t find much documentation on this. Ideally I want company users to use the Spark client for internal conversations. However, it has become necessary to allow a few users the ability to chat with users from another company via MSN.

Also, correct me if I’m wrong, but the Openfire server should be able to keep an audit log of both the Spark client conversations and the MSN client conversations - right?

Any information is appreciated!!!

Thanks,

Nick

After restarting my Spark client I saw the MSN icon. I am able to login to MSN Messenger and chat. However, I’m not able to move my MSN contacts to groups within Spark. I know that this is the wrong forum for that so I’ll move over to the Spark forum.

Thanks,

Nick

I can move this thread to Spark forum if you wish, though you ahve already marked this as answered.

I think i was able to move my MSN contacts to local Spark group “Friends” without problems.
