Two offices one server......?

I am running a wildfire IM server between two offices over a 1.5 t1 vpn. Office A hosts the server and has users using the IM and has a t1 connection , Office Y uses Office A’'s server and has a fiber connection. from time to time the users in office Y get dropped from the server and have to re connect. not everyone in the office gets dropped at the same time. the majority of the users in office Y use ibm x31 laptops. were as office A is all desktops…

any ideas???

which IM client are you using?

Is it possible that the users hit a 30 minute idle timeout as their client does not send keepalive packets?
