Unable to log through the admin console after hostname change

Hello,

We’ve gone ahead and changed the server via the admin console to the DNS server name. Once we made the change and restated the server we can no longer access the openfire console. I’ve looked at internal configs to see if we could switch this back but no lock.

The installation is on Linux Centos running v 3.6.4

Any suggestions / ideas?

edit the openfire.xml setup tag to read false with openfire stopped. Then start openfire and step through the config again being sure to use the name you wish the server to have.

Yes sorry I should of replied to this thread earlier but yes I ended up changing the xml to false and went through the install process.

Everything is up with the exception that I have to re-create my ssl certs everytime the openfire server is restarted.
