Unable to start Openfire "weird"

Hi to all Im a newbie in openfire, I install openfire in a linux box, after installing when I try this following command,

service openfire start

Starting openfire: su: cannot set user id: Resource temporarily unavailable --> --> I’ve got this error

is this a dedicated server or a VPS with “shell fork bomb protection” enabled?
