I recently uninstalled openfire on my server and I have been looking through my back up logs and I have the following warning in the log:
“VSS Snapshot warning. File c:\program files (x86)\openfire\bin\openfire-service.exe is not present on the snapshot.”
I checked in services and the open fire service is still present.
How do I completely remove openfire and the services along with it?
System Details:
Windows Small Business Server 2008 x64
Looking through my registry (regedit) I would remove the following keys to completely remove the service…
They all point to openfire-service.exe.
(All three might not still exist)
HKLM\System\ControlSet001\Services\Openfire
HKLM\System\ControlSet002\Services\Openfire
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Openfire
I looked through the registry for the provided keys.I found and deleted:
HKLM\System\ControlSet001\Services\Openfire
HKLM\System\ControlSet002\Services\Openfire
But
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Openfire doesn’t exist
I will know in the morning if that did the trick. Thanks
Looks like that did the trick.
