Upgrading from 3.5.1to 3.6.2

Are there any known issues or concerns upgrading directly to 3.6.2 from 3.5.1?

I’m using a mysql database with the packaged debian install.

I did not notice problems but with 3.6.x you may have some problems managing groups as http://www.igniterealtime.org/issues/browse/JM-1504 was introduced.

I’m running 3.5.1 on SBS2003 but I feel an upgrade is inevitable. My search is not working and I really don’t know enough about any programming or SQL to make any tweaks and/or changes. SO! I saw a post about the admin part of Openfire is not as “responsive” as older versions, that’s about it.

Hi,

you could use a local (Windows) firewall and block access to ports 9090 and 9091 and allow only the local browser or a few IP addresses access to it. Anyhow this will not repair a broken search plugin.

Hopefully you have a backup of the database, just in case that you experience even worse problems after update.
