User going online/offline does not affect in contact list

Hi,

I am new here and new with spark. Before spark, I used pandion … but spark seems to be better für me.

My question is, why does the main window of spark not get notice of going offline from an user? If an user goes offline

always the green dot is still active. Only if I restart spark, the user is listed in the offline group.

In the Chat-windows, user-chat or room-chat, the active state changes within seconds … but not in the Contacts-List.

Server = openfire 3.6.4 on ubuntu-server 8.04

Spark = 2.5.8 on windowsXP

Users and groups come from an openLDAP

Any Ideas ?

I was experiencing the exact same issue with Openfire 3.6.4 on Windows 2003 and Spark 2.5.8 on Windows XP using SSO. I remembered that I didn’t have that problem when I first installed the server, it only seemed to give me problems after I installed plugins. So I took a guess and removed the “Subscription” plugin. It seemed to do the trick now the client responds when people go online, offline and change their status message. If you have that plugin installed try uninstalling it. Can anyone else confirm this plugin causes a problem?
