thanks

Although AD/LDAP integration allows you to use that directory service as the basis for users and user groups in Openfire, it is not used automatically to populate the contact list (roster) of the users.

The easiest way to do this is to apply Contact List Sharing configuration to the imported groups in Openfire. This allows you to make sure that people in a group are added to the contact list of (other) people.

You can configure this in the Openfire admin console, as shown below.

Hi Guus,
well my issue is this … i have more then 150 users,
Spark doesn’t showing use r/ client list automatically …
in open fire i can c all users … but in spark no one showing there …
i have to configure manually, in past i was working without Active directory,
i changed my mind and i put on it with LDAP.
kindly guide me is there any way to import client list in spark Automatically.

I think we’re misunderstanding each-other. Linking Openfire up with AD or LDAP allows users to log into Openfire, using the definitions that Openfire gets from LDAP/AD.

It does not mean that every user can automatically see all other users in their contact list, after they have logged in to Spark.

For that to happen, you’ll need to configure things. The easiest way is to have a group of all users, and configure that group to be shared on the contact list of everyone.

hey Bro guss…
