User's Connections repeatedly closed

Hi All.

I am currently evaluating Openfire for deployment within a large library, ~300 users. I am testing it out with about 10 members of staff and getting continuous problems with their connections being closed. They are all using Spark as a client, and the error is “Your connection was closed due to an error”.

We are running Openfire 3.4.1 on Redhat Enterprise Linux 5. The clients are all accessing using windows and this comes up in the spark logs

I can see nothing relevant in the server logs, but when it happens again I shall have another poke around and see what times correspond.

If anyone could shed any light on this it would be greatly appreciated. It happens with fair regularity, maybe 10 times a day so obviously we can’t go ahead and use it until this issue is solved. It would be a shame as well as it is proving quite popular when working.

Cheers,

Seb
