The IT staff recently tested a Pidgin client running on OpenFire 3.7.1. It passed our tests (about 12 people) without major issues, but when we rolled it out the entire company (about 150 people), we have noticed issues with authenticating and users appearing and disappearing, seemingly at random.
When a user logs in to start the day, a number of their previously added contacts will be either missing, or moved to a seperate group and shown offline. We have the “Subscription” plugin set to autmoatically authenticate, but that doesn’t seem to alter our issues.
