Video Conference- OpenFire meetings

#1

I have been reading a lot about the posibility of using OpenFire with Spark to create online meetings with video/audio capabilities.

In my production I am running 4.0.3 and OpenFire meetings is not available. Fine.

I have setup a test environment using the latest 4.1.5 OpenFire with Spark 2.8.3 and Openfire Meetings 0.9.1

I see the correct ofmeet.jar file in the OpenFire folder

I go to my: https://your-server.com:7443/ofmeet

I get the pop up for the camera and microphone but no go

Error

Opps somethign went wrong and could not connect to the conference : connection.other error

Second question: Can the video chat be launched from Spark, when creating a conference ?

I think ofmeet works only with the latest Chrome version. There is a plugin for Spark, but it is already outdated and won’t work with the latest ofmeet.

So sad. Spark/OpenFire is such a great application.

I think a lot of us will love to buy even a premium plugin to get this working.

I tried the other plugin, unfortunately was discontinued too… was the red5 plugin. That was something that I want.
