Waiting for authorization

Hi,

we just installed wildfire 3.0.1 to create a local messenger system in our university group. Installation went fine, and users are able to register. However, when a use wants to add a contact, the client shows a message “waiting for authorization”, but at the contact’'s site, no request for authorization-message appears. As a result, nobody is able to add contacts to their roster.

Any way to solve this?

Hey Wouter,

The most common mistake that causes this problem is to just add the username instead of username@server. The other common mistake is to use the incorrect server name. You can check in the admin console the server name that you are using. Use that value after the @ so that the server may realize that the user that you are adding is a local user. Otherwise, the server will assume that you are adding a remote user to your contact list.
