I’m testing openfire for quite some time now. we are planning to use it to unify the internal communications throughout all our office branches.
I like the ability to send broadcast messages (in case of emergencies etc). But in various XMPP clients like pidgin, I have to manually add a contact for this like "email@example.com". Same way I can add permanent chatrooms like "firstname.lastname@example.org".
Is there a way to have those “contacts” visible in the roster for all users? I don’t want to explain to 90+ people (using 5+ different clients on the 3 popular platforms) how to add a user "email@example.com" manually…
