Where does the Spark client "Check For Updates"?

Does it go to our local OpenFire server? If so, how do we update it?

Is there any way to change the server it goes to?

What if we don’t want our users updating over the internet?

Hi Benjamin,

If you’re using Openfire Enterprise you can control the Spark version through that or you can download and install the Spark Manager Plugin.

Just a follow up question. Now that Enterprise no longer exists, how does the check for updates work?

All Enterprise functionality (except clustering) is available via separate open-sourced plugins. Client Control plugin can control Spark versions in your network.

And without control plugins Spark is checking igniterealtime.org or maybe jivesoftware.com i believe.
