As i have suggested in chat, check the logs at C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Spark\logs and check every file there looking for an error at the moment of hanging. You can also post error logs here.
Is the sender or receiver hanging? Is broadcast message big or just a few words?
What version of Spark?
