Wildfire on existing LCS server

We have decided to move from LCS to Wildfire/Spark using AD authentication. Right now we are running LCS. If I wanted to start setting up Wildfire on the same server we have LCS running, will it create any conflicts?

I can’‘t think of any conflicts this would cause. We’'d love to hear more about how the transition goes or any problems you run into. Making it easy to switch from LCS is definitely a high priority!

Thanks,

Matt

Heh. What about making easy transition form Wildfire to LCS? Joke;)

There are only 3 things that could have made my migration easier…

If Wildfire could have automatically uninstalled LCS and all the AD extensions.

If Spark could be deployed via a MSI in a group policy, with default server and client settings.

And the one I don’'t expect…

Exchange/Outlook integration, but I’'m not holding my breath.

We’'ve had this request several times… just need to figure out how to build an MSI now.

What would the highest-value integration points be for you?

In LCS if you are in a meeting the client pulls against the Free/Busy data to show you are in a meeting, so if you are away/idle and your calandar had “Lunch with Bob” it would show that as your away status.

We have started using the presence module to update our .net based in out board, this would be nice to transfer more information when people don’'t mark their away status properly.

Hello eangwin

I am interested to know that why you are moving from LCS to Wildfire…

You could try this to make an MSI.
