I have gotten my Wildfire box stable, and now want to move on to implementing Astrisk into the scheme. Will the plugin work for Trixbox as well, or only the actual Astrisk server instance.

Not sure what you’‘re asking but Asterisk-IM does work fine with Asterisk@home. I think Trixbox is not yet production ready but I don’‘t see any reason it wouldn’'t work as the asterisk server underneath should still be fine.

In FreePBX install the “Asterisk Manager”
In the asterisk manager setup a user for your wildfire server, mine is in a closed enviorment so I just gave it all permissions however I don’'t know the exact ones your need. If you are using Wildfire on a server other than your trixbox make sure you define the IP as allowed in the Asterisk Manager.
Install the wildfire plugin using and setup the cred’'s you created above.
If you did everything right you will see your extensions and your trunks on the drop down in the Wildfire plugin.
I am running Wildfire on Windows and I don’'t know if this is a Wildfire bug or just something that happened however when I put the settings in the plugin and hit submit I got a blank page.
Re-start wildfire (not as a service) and you should see the log show the connections being made to your Trixbox and the * version #
