I would highly, highly recommend OctroTalk (http://www.octro.com). It’‘s free at the moment, though I think at some point it’‘s supposed to become commercial software. It’‘s a fully featured Jabber/GTalk client for Windows Mobile (both smartphones and PDAs). I’'ve been using it on my T-Mobile SDA for about three months now.
