There seems to be some support for XEP-0083 nested groups, but it seems to be only partially implemented. When I create a multi-level group hierarchy, I get strange behaviour and occasional ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException exceptions. Also, I can’'t find any documentation for this feature.
Regarding the strange behaviour, I entered a group hierarchy like this
North America
Canada
BC
Vancouver
Ontario
Toronto
USA
Michigan
Detroit
using group names like “North America:
:BC::Vancouver”, and the following is displayed by Spark
