Xml delivery

Is it possible to use these protocols to deliver xml to other applications. For instance, to deliver SMIL to a SVG viewer?

Likewise, has there been any work in the area of attaching or sending non xml filetypes along with a message.

If you wanted to send an XML payload as part of a Jabber message, you could certainly do that.

Smack will allow you to attach any Java primitive or even any Java object to any packet.
