xml file for creating spark format msi.
What would need to be done to this file to make it compatible with 2.7.1?
Could we not just get pre-packaged MSI files?
It looks like this xml file only has a version and a list of files. So you can probably install 2.7.1 and then edit this xml file to update the version number and files list in it (Java has been updated since and probably some files are missing or there are new ones in Spark\jre). This is only a xml file, don’t know what one has to do with it next. Maybe marioalpha can answer this.
As for the MSI packages. There are no plans to provide such on the downloads page. Current installer building system doesn’t produce msis and there were problems with install4j produced msis in the past.
