I’ve been pouring over the forums here looking for an answer, but I can’t seem to find anything immediately.
I’m running Spark 2.6.3 on Windows 7, but for some reason the icon in the Start menu and within the toolbar (when running) do not show.
This began to happen about two or three weeks ago, but I’ve been using Spark for about 4 months now, and initially the icon would always show.
It’s not exactly blocking me from getting work done, but it’s pretty darn annoying, especially because it’s a relaitvely simple problem to fix; I just need to put the image file in the correct folder.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
(Screen cap of what I’m talking about is attached)
For what it’s worth- I am also seeing this problem on multiple Windows 7 x64 machines. A complete uninstall and reinstall hasn’t fixed the issue either.
Bamboo only holds 10 last builds, so the links get obsolete pretty fast after a few changes in the code (bamboo automatically builds new installer after every change). Grab it while you can Definitely not the online version: http://bamboo.igniterealtime.org/artifact/SPARK-INSTALL4J/JOB1/build-614/Install 4j/spark_2_6_3_12555.exe
I downloaded this, and it is the same build as the one I ran the install of this morning. I didn’t notice because the other executable we renamed to just spark_2_6_3, but I checked the file version and on the install that I used it showed “2.6.3.12555”
Is there another fix? I’ve done a clean uninstall and reinstall using this exe.
the beta-builds still show the same exact version and build number as the regular spark release… so they will show 2.6.3.12555 still. This is because changing the build number every time gets to be a hassle. so it will be updated when released.
