We’re in the process of decommissioning our Ubuntu box, the box on which Openfire is currently running, and I need to move Openfire to our Server 2008 machine. The current config uses a MSSQL db and I’d like to use that same db after installing Openfire on Server 2008. This seems fairly straight forward but after several attempts on my own I continue to fail…usually at the admin login screen where it refuses to take my existing login creds. I’ve searched countless articles/docs but can find nothing specific to my needs. Can any of you provide any insight as to how I can complete this process? I’ll delete and recreate the db if I need to but would rather just use my perfectly function db instead.
