After update to 4.4.0 with tar.gz still shows 4.3.2

Hi, I’m trying to upgrade from 4.3.2 to 4.4 using tar gz (I unpacked the package then copied the content to /opt/bitnami/openfire since I’m using a bitnami VM image) but the version stays 4.3.2

any ideas please?

I have moved your question to separate thread, so blog post don’t get crowded with support requests. What is your exact procedure of updating? It is better to remove old files and not just copy on top as many old files will be left in place.

so Openfire is kinda different on Bitnami, so I followed this procedure: https://docs.bitnami.com/bch/apps/openfire/administration/upgrade/

Well, we can’t support custom versions. Maybe you should contact Bitnami support about this. I’m guessing there are some old files left behind. Check /openfire/lib folder and see if all files have same modify date. ls -l
