Allow Users to Add Themselves to a Shared Group


I saw some old posts on this but I am looking for a way to allow users to add themselves to a shared group so everyone can see what group that individual is in. All users are internal, and this is the only functionality that we need - Everything else is working great.

We tried using the admin screen but without a browser and/or search funtionality it is simple too cumbersome to work with. No question though - having users put themselves into the various groups would elevate alot of overhead.

I’m thinking if there is nothing out there from a configuration perspective, my next challage will be to modify the code. Maybe even making some sort of app that just did this on a webpage would be another option.
