Any one ever able to use a cert' from startssl.org?

www.startssl.org offers SSL certificates but they need an intermediate certificate to work.

Has any one ever used one of these successfully with openFire?

I am not thinking that the GUI will work to install these (but I’m happy to be wrong).

I have been trying to use the keytool & just poking at it & seeing if I can get lucky with the correct combination, but no luck so far.

Any one who has the recipe for this would be great.

Yes.

You need to use the keytool to add the whole certificate chain. I don’t have the exact procedure available infront of me now.
