Hi,
installing Openfire is really easy. So you should be able to set it up with the embedded database, without LDAP/AD connection in 2 minutes after reading the installation manual. I assume that you already have a company for IT services, also they should be able to install it within a few minutes.

I agree, the basic setup the previous poster suggested is very easy.
If you use a linux operating for the server (I’m using Ubuntu) you have zero cost to get it up and running, aside from the labor time.
