Apple can not scan spark.app for malware and will not open it

One of our users has just tried to install Spark 3.0.2 build, 31 March 2023 on his Mac mini. Apple refuses to open it because it can not be scanned for malware, and suggested contacting the developers. Please see the uploaded screenshot below.

Thanks.

I’m afraid that most Spark developers aren’t using Macs, and therefor are not familiar with this issue (or its possible resolutions). If there’s a community member that has the know-how on how to address this, please step forward!

Basic check first. Can non App Store software be run on this Mac?

Go to macOS System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General and make sure that the option for “Allow apps downloaded from” is set to “App Store and identified developers.”
