Are idle connections still being closed properly?

Hi,

We had somewhat of a ‘‘lights-out-in-the-entire-building’’ situation today (auch). During the blackout (which lasted a couple of hours) we noticed that we seemed to be online in Openfire (although the computers that were running our clients were powered down). The Openfire server in question is hosted somewhere else.

Does the server still kick connections that have been idle (in other words: no traffic or whitespaces) for a while? I’‘ve checked the ‘‘xmpp.client.idle’’ property, which is set to a value of 75000 on our server. Why didn’'t Openfire close our idle sessions after one minute 15 seconds?

Followup: we’'re running Openfire 3.2.2.

Hi, a bug report was added with your information in: http://www.igniterealtime.org/issues/browse/JM-993

It is estimated to be solved in the next release.

Thanks!

Francisco
