Asterisk-im + gaim / other jabber clients

I am wondering if there are other jabber clients than spark that work with the asterisk-im plugin.

as far as i know, asterisk im is not in XEP. is there a plan to submit asterisk im to XEP? if asterisk im is in XEP, all the other jabber client might implement it.
