Auto Join Conference

Ok I just deployed Openfire and Spark in my network and i’ve implamented LADP for all users. The biggiest complaint i’m getting is people have to wait for everyone to join the conference and some people are on phone and dont/cant click except. Does anyone know of a way I can force auto except? Thanks,

No, this is not what you want. I think this should be done on the clients side (when a client receives an invite it should automatically join). Spark doesn’t have such option.

Thats what I was thinking but it dosent seem any client has this option. Can anyone help?

this is nothing i would want and doesnt meet XMPP-Standard

there is a proposal here: http://xmpp.org/extensions/inbox/mucautojoin.html which is slightly different

if you like i will add a Preferences Menuentry like “Auto accept all invitations”

This is actually a request that was also raised in my company. It might be a good idea to have a preference setting for that.

Yes, Wolf have just added such option and you can try it in this installer.

Awsome… now do you think you can do me a solid and make it where you can untab conversations? That is the last major fearutre that my end users are ‘demanding’ lol

Appetite is growing while eating Well, untabbing is not as simple as adding another preference. This won’t be done soon.

Well i’ll just keep my fingers crossed! My boss gave me a deadline to fix these to features before next friday but I think he’ll extend it now that the group chat thing is fixed it was a major issue for the way we do ‘business’.

so your boss pays you to fix spark?

maybe i should be on the payroll aswell
