Automatic Agent-Visitor assignment?


Is it possible to have agents assigned in chatrooms, so that each visitor is automatically assigned to the available agent? Or should I be using something else?

Are you thinking of some kind of help desk through IM? Do you need queuing of visitors and routing to best/available agents? If the answer is yes then you may want to give a try to Openfire Enterprise. The Enterprise edition includes, among other useful features, support for customer chats.

Yes, I’‘m looking at an intenal support desk via chat. I wanna use the user’'s LDAP IDs to log on to the chat support. Will try out the trial version and see if it fits my requirements
