When a new user is created, I currently have them being automatically added to a particular group. I would like to make it so that all members of this group are then added to the new user’s friends list. How can I do this?
Share that group. All members of the group get the group in their roster automatically.
The sucky part about sharing groups is that it doesn’t default to the group name found in LDAP even though it states: “By default, this group will only appear in the contact lists of the group’s members”. It forces you to add a group name manually in order for the group to show up in the members roster/contact list
