Automatically Generating Phone Mappings

Is there a way of doing this now or are there any plans for this?

I was looking at the AD properties for a user and noticed there was an “IP Phone field”. It would be cool if the asterisk-im plugin would look at that field and based off of the syntax “1699@asterisk1”, it would automatically map all devices for ext 1677 to that user for that server.

It’‘s not yet possible but it looks like a good feature. I’'ve created a freature request for it: PHONE-56 so you can vote for it.

I can’‘t wait till this done. For the mean time I guess I’'ll create a script that will manually add the exts to my asterisk server and create the phone mappings since both are using MYSQL.
