Backup of Jive Configuration?

Hi,

I am running JM 2.3.0 Beta2 with nightly builds from Oct 20. I use LDAP authentication and shared groups.

I want to move JM to a new server, how do i backup Jive configuration, which files need to be backedup so that i can bringup the new server online in the shortest possible time?

Please help…

Hi Samad,

You will for sure want to backup the jive-messenger.xml file (located in conf directory) as well the files in the embedded-db directory, if you are using the embedded database. After you’'ve installed Messenger on your new server you can just swap out the default files with the ones from your old installation.
