In doing some testing on our app’s error handling, I received a “bad-namespace-prefix” error when I deliberately messed up the “jabber:client” namespace, whereas I really think the stream error should be “invalid-namespace”.
I see that RFC3920 did not clearly spell this out in the case of the jabber:client (or jabber:server) namespace, but the latest draft does seem to do so:
