Bold Tags in sending messages

Does Open Fire/Spark client support HTML or some other kind of tagging? I wrote a program that sends update messages around the office and I would liek to bold part of it…

I have tried all the usual stuft ( <span…>) to no avail.

There is only a long standing ticket for adding XHTML support to Spark (Openfire has nothing to do with that i think) SPARK-464

Targeted to be included in Spark version 2.7.1 , right ?

I wouldn’t hope too much. 2.7.1 is there just because one needed to specify some version. It won’t be added until someone provide a patch. Then it can be even 2.7.0. Though again, i can’t say when we will see 2.7.0. There are no active developers in here now.
