Broadcasts reaches offline users?

When sending broadcasts to a group, it is also sent to offline users. In the broadcast plugin readme it says:

“For the group staff, a message to staff@broadcast.foo would be sent to all users in the group staff that are currently online.”

Is it a bug that broadcasts to a group also reaches offline users or is this how it should work?

Hey John,

Thanks for pointing that out. The documentation is not in synch with the current functionality. The idea is that when you broadcast a message to a group then ALL group members (online/offline) will get the message. That means that for offline messages the broadcast message will be stored offline. The documentation has been updated.

an up-2-date documentation is really nice, and I did recently take a look at http://wiki.jabber.org/index.php/Real-time_wiki which is still in alpha stage.
