Bug or feature: Presence status of contacts found via search

Hi,

I am not sure, if the following behaviour of Spark 2.04 is a feature or a bug.

If I search for a person, that is not in my roster, I will not see the online status of that person after starting a chat via the context menue. My Spark/Wildfire setup requires an explicit addition of contacts to my roster because of the amount of users using Spark.

Any ideas?

Hi Walter,

I’‘m not sure if I completely understand your question. Due to security and privacy issues presence information is only avaiable to people that are already subscribed to each others’’ presence. In other words, even though you may be able to message someone, you can’‘t know their presence information unless you’'ve sent them an subscription request which they have accepted.
