The ChatRoom feature works great for multiple users. What we want is to be able to invite a 3rd, or 4th, etc. user to a 2 person chat without having to create a room. Is this possible? Maybe an item for the backlog?

This is not possible in any IM. Private chats support only 2 persons. In all other IM networks clients creates a conference room when you invite more people, same with xmpp/jabber (Skype/MSN) though it could look as the same private chat. Dont know about SparkWeb, but you can invite you chatter and then some other folks to a room, but you won’t see all previous history with that person in that new room.
