Can you use animated GIF Avatar?

Hello. I am trying to use a 10k animated gif as my avatar, and it will not load. Are there special requirements to have an animated .gif as an avatar? Or is it just not supported?

Hi,

SPARK-548 ist just an open issue. As soon as it is striked the issue is fixed. One can see on the page of the issue:

“Fix Version/s: 2.5.0 Beta 3”

Derek will post an anouncement as soon as 2.5.0-beta3 gets released.

If you are using SVN to checkout the sources and compile Spark for yourself you can do this as soon as the issue is fixed, otherwise you need to wait until a version with this fix gets released.

You can also create a “JIRA” account and vote for this and watch this or other issues.
