Cannot add administrator during setup

Hello Experts,

I am trying to use openfire with Zimbra. Initially had lot of issues in connecting to zimbra. Then I managed to connect to Zimbra LDAP and then after finshing the User mapping and Group Mapping, I am getting an option to add Administrator. Here what ever username I give, it shows that the user does not exist. Due to this, I am unable to complete my setup. Guys, anybody has some idea about this? I installed openfire in a windows machine.

Hi,

you may want to enable the ldap debug option as described in the last line of the LDAP Guide.

As Administrator you must specify a normal LDAP user like “Foobar” which does already exist in LDAP - this user will then get admin rights within Openfire.
