Cannot login to Admin Console after install

Just installed 3.6.4 on RHEL3 and MySQL 5.0. Install process and setup went fine but I cannot login to the admin console with the “admin” user. I see the admin record in the ofUser table. I tried running setup several time but I just cannot get into the admin console. Any suggestions?

This is the message I get when trying to login:

Login failed: make sure your username and password are correct and that you’re an admin or moderator.

silly question: did you bounce the machine, post setup?

No, why would a restart of the machine be needed?

There’s a known issue (bug) with the product. After install/setup, you have to either restart the service or bounce the machine… hope that solves 'er for ya.

Restarting open fire after the setup worked.
