Cannot paste images inline in conversations

Expected behavior:
Select an image in Finder or take a screenshot (⌘⇧4), press CMD + V in Spark’s message area, and see the image displayed inline in the conversation.

Observed behavior:
When attempting to paste (⌘ V), the image does not appear inline; instead, Spark automatically initiates a file transfer via XMPP, creating an attachment. This behavior differs from Windows, where Spark’s RichEdit allows inline image pasting.

Spark 3.0.2
Openfire 4.7.4
macOS 15.5 (Apple Silicon)
Java Runtime bundled with Spark

Image inlining is probably not a good idea in the editor. This makes editing complicated. We should looks how to make it better and what are common practices. The Spark now in more like maintaining mode, no active developers on it right now so this won’t be fixed soon.

What a shame! This is a feature that makes everyday use much easier.
