Can't leave a message when fastpath is offline

When our agents are off and the help button (produce by html using fastpath plugin) says “Offline”, it also says

that you can click on it to leave a message. When we try to do it, we

are taken to where the message says:

Live Chat Not Available

Sorry we were not available to handle your request. Please try again


What could be wrong?



This issues comes up sometimes when the application decides that it can’t send emails. Are your system wide email settings working correctly? When you you try the “send test email” function, does it work with no issues?



I just tried it. The test works fine (i.e. I receive the email correctly), but clicking on “offline” still doesn’t.

Please advise.
