Certificate is NOt valid! What does that mean, I cannot connect to server!

Hi,

i have Openfire installed, but whenever I try to conect I get the message that “THE CERTIFICATE IS NOT VALID! REason: Certificate is self-signed”

If I hit "continue I ghet the next error: “There was an error comunication with the server. Details: Authentification error: Not authorized”

Why? Do I have to de-select something??? Or ad something?

Any help is welcome.

Also something strange, when I register a user (from inside the server) using “NAME” it telle me to use a host. So I put NAME@HOST.COM this way it gives me the error above. If I change it to NAME@HOST it connects, BUT it tells me that there is an XMPP comucnitaiuon error and rejects me…

What am I doing wrong???

Ok, I solved the second part. I checked the page where only some IM can connect, but forgot to check PSI ones. (hihi stupid me!)

Still the first problem still is there.

i have Openfire installed, but whenever I try to conect I get the message that “THE CERTIFICATE IS NOT VALID! REason: Certificate is self-signed”

Now when I hit continue it connects withouth any Problem.

How can I remove that message???

yes yes I am getting there… great software!!!

In PSI, you can tell it to ignore SSL warnings:

Psi->Accounts Setup->Modify->Connection tab->turn on “Ignore SSL Warnings”

Fantastic, just what I needed.

Thx!!!

i have now everything running and must say I am very surprised to find such a great software for free!!!

Great job to the OPENFIRE programmers!!!

Many thx to Puff for helping me out!
