Change password

Hi

I don’'t want users to create accounts, but I want them to be able to change their passwords from the client. Is it possible?

Hey Jade,

If you disable in-band registration then messenger will not process any IQ packet with namespace “jabber:iq:register” that was sent to the server itself. AFAIK, sending an IQ packet with namespace “jabber:iq:register” is the only way to change a user’'s password from a client so the answer is unfortunately no.
