I need to make some changes in Sparks IM UI. I want to know how to change the background color of login page and how to make login id and password fields in an rounded textbox.

You might try this document Build a Branded/Skinned Version of Spark but it could be too old. Also it might not be compatible with the current source as its structure changed while moving to Maven.
