it seems that your own nickname change is reflecting at once in the toolbar only if you have an avatar set. If you dont have an avatar when nickname changes are not reflecting until you relogin or try to add avatar.
Was seeing this with Win2000, but now i’m on XP and it’s reflecting at once. So, closing this question.
