I have a user that just got married and their last name has changed. I am using Active Directory for Openfire and Spark as the client. I’ve changed their name in Active Directory, but in the Openfire admini console and Spark client, the old username still shows. Is there a way to update this information?
Did you reboot the openfire server? It will eventually sync up, but there is no manual way to make this happen short of a reboot.
Will the Spark client rosters also sync up?
I haven’t rebooted the server as I have people actively using it during the day.
They do indeed sync up eventually. Mine takes a few hours or a simple exit and reload.
